This large canvas has many layers of poured paint. It is rich in color and texture. As we get into the “Deep Sea” more navy is shown along with the foaming of the deep waves. In this painting, there are areas of Viridian green and touches of cyan for the shallower parts of the ocean. Foamy white is created by waves and current.
I have developed my own formulas for the poured acrylic paint. One must concentrate on the flow to really appreciate the designs in each painting. The colors are representation of the shallow parts of the ocean where turquoise and cyan shades remain dominant. Viewing these paintings should give you the feeling on being near the ocean because of the cool color flowing in and out with the darker colors. It took much practice to achieve the paint to separate and do spectacular mixing and blending on every inch of canvas. Note in various areas of the canvas, there will be many swirls and ins and outs of different colors flowing in the same direction or many times opposite flows will form. Enjoy.
This painting is on heavy cotton canvas gallery wrapped with all four sides painted and has a satin finish.
